The Clinic was founded in 2003 by the Pensacola Bay Baptist Association to meet the needs of the uninsured and medically underserved in Escambia County, Florida. It was originally planned as a dental clinic, but with dental services and equipment extremely expensive, a medical clinic was more realistic with available funding. In the early days, there were more volunteers than patients.
Today, hundreds of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and volunteers help provide free health care to the medically underserved of our community. Two part-time employees are paid out of Clinic funds. All others volunteer their time on behalf of the Clinic. A Board of Directors sets policy and is ultimately responsible for the organization.
Since 2003, Health and Hope Clinic has provided over $15,000,000 in healthcare services and 18,000 patient/provider visits. Our goal is to provide accessible and equitable primary and preventative care to those in need. At Health and Hope Clinic, we rely on the generosity of our contributors and volunteers to accomplish our mission of “providing health and hope to the hurting.”

We have a mostly all-volunteer staff with over 300 volunteer doctors, dentists, nurses, and non-medical personnel.

Health and Hope Clinic has earned a 2024 Gold rating from the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (NAFC) Quality Standards Program. The NAFC and its members are dedicated to ensuring that patients receive quality health care.
Health and Hope Clinic is the proud recipient of a 2019 Pensacola Bay Area Impact 100 grant. This grant is saving lives by allowing us to offer a solution for the opioid epidemic as an official, FREE Narcan® distribution center. Anyone who is concerned for a loved one, or themselves, can come by our clinic during regular Clinic hours and receive a free Narcan kit that includes education for administration and helpful tips for using this nasal spray that can save a life from opioid overdose.
In October of 2023, we received another Impact 100 grant to add a health and wellness wing to the clinic in coordination with funding from the state of Florida's Capital Outlay Grant. This addition to the clinic will host our mental health counselors and our culinary medicine program and will give us the opportunity to provide WHOLE patient care — mind, body and soul.

Prior to this, Sally was the corporate trainer with NurseSpring, a nine-location staffing and home-care agency with offices from Virginia through Tampa, Florida. Sally assisted with formalization, standardization, and implementation of training for all new hires. She also served as their community liaison in the greater Pensacola market.
Before joining NurseSpring, Sally spent 5 years working with the Escambia County School District. She assisted low-performing schools and served as the district’s Director of the Mentor Program, where she quadrupled community partnership volunteer mentors in the schools.
Sally has co-owned and operated multiple successful small businesses in both California and Florida in retail and property management. She has a background in corporate sales with GTE Wireless and AT&T.
Active as a volunteer, Sally has a long history of working to strengthen our community, including service as Escambia County PTA president, Florida PTA Board of Directors Member, and IMPACT 100 new-member mentor. Sally serves with the Baptist Healthcare Foundation Women’s Board, Women of the United Way, and as Team Development Chair with Making Strides against Breast Cancer.
Sally holds a Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University in Journalism and Russian; she and her husband Jeff, along with their 3 children, Tori, Nicholas and Brandon, have called Pensacola their home since 2004.
